History

Grupo Segrove officially began its operations in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico in 1950. The Group was the creation of Mr. Daniel Perez Segrove, who envisaged a network of companies that could provide a variety of international and domestic logistics services to the client all under one roof.

The concept of a sole organization providing multiple international services was virtually unheard of during the decades spanning the mid-twentieth century. As a result, Grupo Segrove experienced an unprecedented level of growth after its inception.

The first company developed under Grupo Segrove was Segrove Agencia S.A. de C.V., a steamship agency for liner and tramp vessels in Mexican ports. Shortly thereafter the Group began Servicios Aduanales Segrove, S.C., offering a full range of Customs services to its clients. Servicios Aduanales is not only one of the oldest of the Segrove companies, but is also the most highly decorated, having received important Mexican national quality awards such as the “Premio Nacional de Exportacion” and the “Premio a la Calidad Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma”.

Grupo Segrove continued its rapid expansion over the next several years by developing additional companies, including Seegrove International Shippers, Inc., offering a superior line of bonded warehousing and distribution services. It developed Segrove Internacional S.A. de C.V., its international forwarding division which covers logistics needs in 70 countries and over 1000 cities worldwide. Eximtraff, S.A. de C.V. is yet another Segrove company, operating as a well-respected shipping and ground transportation agent.
